Michael Jackson is Still Making Money

Since Michael Jacksons death in June 2009 and up to the end of 2010, he’s earned about $310 million. Not bad for a dead guy huh. Somehow the Jackson estate has spent $159 million since his death between his funeral, burial and buying the Jacksons home in north Los Angeles. WTF did that house cost? Sounds like some shady shit is STILL going on there.

Jacksons Note Sells Big

People have too much money. Michael Jackson apparently scribbled some notes on some paper at his dermatologists office. People found it and put it up for sale on eBay and it sold for $3,075.

Some of the things written down were “One year in London 3? International #1 2 3 4 5 albums and single.”

How do you even know it was his writing. I don’t get it.

Neverland Ranch – Music School

So the people who own Michael Jacksons Neverland Ranch (Colony Capital) want to turn it into a teen music school. Yep, they want young adults to study about writing and performing. The last people who have to approve is Santa Barbara County and Jackson’s Estate. Sounds like an interesting idea!

Jackson Glove Sells BIG

Remember back in November I mentioned that Michael Jacksons white crystal glove that he wore during the ‘Bad’ tour was going up for auction

http://musicnewstidbits.com/music-news/idols-icons-sale-get-a-part-of-history

Well it finally sold. For $330,000!!! Insane. Some other stuff sold at that auction:

Fedora Jackson wore on stage: $72,000
Jacket signed by Jackson: $96,000
Marilyn Monroe’s empty prescription bottles (2): $18,750
X-Ray of Albert Einstein’s brain: $38,750
Military Style Jacket John Lennon wore for 1966 Life Magazine Shoot: $240,000

Shit it must be nice to have that kind of money laying around where you can buy this kind of stuff.

New Michael A Fake?

Have you heard the apparently new Michael Jackson track that came out? Well Michaels son Prince and daughter Paris are claiming that three to five of the tracks off the new album aren’t actually Michael Jackson. The album is called ‘Michael’ and is due to come out in time for the holidays. Sony claims its Michael but others think its a copycat named Jason Malachi. I don’t know but judge for yourself by listening to this guys voice. Pretty freaky really.

Jackson’ Moonwalk Glove Sells Big

For some reason I thought this piece was already sold but I guess not.  Michael Jacksons rhinestone encrusted glove that he wore on the infamous Motown 25th Anniversary Special TV show back in 1983 when he first showed everyone the Moonwalk sold for $350,000.  It went to Hoffman Ma, a Hong Kong business man for his hotel in Macau China.

Will.i.am and Michael Jackson & Apples

WTF is up with this.  So Will.i.am from Black Eyed Peas went over to Ireland to work with Michael Jackson on his comeback album.  He starts telling his story about how he was hungry and what Michael told him.  Here is what Will said happened:

“I’m like, ‘I’m hungry,'” Will recalled. “He says, ‘Why don’t you take the horse? Take the horse and pick apples. It’s wonderful. We love doing it. The horses love going apple picking.’ I’m like, ‘All right, I’ll f*cking go.’ I swear to God. I’m on a f*cking horse. Michael Jackson’s like, ‘Wow, it’s great.’ The horse is picking apples. I’m like picking apples and junk, putting them in a bag. I’m like wow, this is like picking apples with Michael Jackson on horseback. Look at that sh*t, right?”

This is so weird I don’t even know what to say.

Michael Jacksons Auction Update

Michael Jackson sued the auction house that was due to auction off his stuff next month. Jacksons company MJJ Productions claims Juliens Auction House promised to send Jackson an inventory of sale items but that the singer hasn’t given permission to move them all. How did I know this was going to get ugly. The suit claims many of the items are “priceless and irreplaceable” and describes the attempt to sell them as “malicious, fraudulent, extreme, outrageous and without any legal justification whatsoever.” Julien said the lawsuit was a “total surprise to us, because Jackson had been apprised of everything since the day we started. His manager…has approved everything.” Some of the things that are being auctioned are his American Music Award for “Thriller”, a pair of rhinestone-trimmed socks from 1981, basketball signed by Michael Jordan, platinum and gold records, a customized Harley Davidson, a Rolls Royce limousine and some of his own original artwork. Is he hurting that bad that he’s going to get rid of some of his awards? That’s just stupid.

Its going to be held over 5 days at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles and will have items ranging from his 1999 limousine, his Neverland Cast Iron Gates to his salt and pepper shakers.
