Right now Helmet is out doing a European tour that is taking them through German, Demark, Switzerland, Italy and France. Page Hamilton did mention that in March 2011 they will come back to the U.S. for a few dates.

“March 3rd to the 24th we’re planning another U.S. run, and then April and May we will be Japan and Australia. Hopefully then back to Europe. Europe is four weeks this November and December, and I’m hoping we’ll do either the early chunk or the late chunk of the festivals next summer.”

One of my all time favorites, lead singer Page Hamilton of Helmet “has constructed a highly personalized project of contemporary art for believers worldwide.”  All this to celebrate the bands 20 year anniversary since their first album Strap It On.  The special site for this is called Legacy of Helmet which states the following:

“Close to Home” is an unprecedented venture into the fine art world for the band, combining handwritten lyrics, graphic art, and paint into one massive canvas series consisting of 200 drafts only.”
