OK it’s only been a few months since Grohl said they were gonna go away for a while but now, it looks like they’ll be working on a new album. This will be their 8th studio album. Dave Grohl made the statement:

“I return to Los Angeles tomorrow to start work on a Foo Fighters record!” and went on to say it would be released “eventually.”

For Record Store Day next month, Foo Fighters will be releasing a covers album titled ‘Medium Rare’.  The album will be released on vinyl on April 16.  Here is the track listing.

Foo Fighters are putting out a Greatest Hits collection that will also include two new tracks.  Sixteen total tracks on the album that goes through all of their first six albums.  There is also a deluxe edition that has a 28 page book of photo’s and a DVD of their shows from Wembley Stadium and Hyde Park in London.

There’s been word that there is another great band forming.  Get this.  It’s Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme, Foo Fighters Dave Grohl and Zeppelins John Paul Jones.  Grohl says the project has been building over the years and Jones said they hope to be everwhere this summer.  THAT should sound really good.
