The Beastie Boys have put out 2 rare EP’s from the late 80’s in celebration of their 30th anniversary of their album ‘Paul’s Boutique’. The titles are “An Exciting Evening At Home With Shadrach, Meshach And Abednego” and the “Love American Style. These are the first two EP’s from a total of six rare EP’s they will put out over the next three weeks.
These EP’s will have B-sides, remixes, live versions and a slew of other music.
I thought this was interesting. Hannah Rebecca Valentine, 19, recently scammed 100 people out of fake concert tickets, gone to prison and now she’s escaped. She was found guilty of 53 fraudulent offenses by forging tickets to various shows such as Post Malone and several festivals.
I would stick to StubHub for tickets even though they charge an arm and a leg.
I’m pretty sure you’ve seen the preview for the new movie ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ with Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. Well the soundtrack will stick to the 60’s theme with artists Paul Revere & The Raiders, Deep Purple and others. The soundtrack will be available on CD, vinyl and digitally which will be available on July 26.

“I had a boyfriend who told me I’d never succeed, never be nominated for a Grammy, never have a hit song, and that he hoped I’d fail. I said to him, “Someday, when we’re not together, you won’t be able to order a cup of coffee at the deli without hearing or seeing me.”

AC/DC just put out the original live video of ‘Back in Black’ from 1979. It was filmed in Arnhem, Holland and features the original singer, Bon Scott before he passed in 1980. Brian Johnson would replace Bon Scott and they would go on to make the album ‘Back in Black’ which went on to become one of the best-selling albums in music history. Here’s the video
Steve Perry, most known for being the lead singer of Journey, is releasing a new single. It’s off his first solo album in 25 years and the track is called ‘Sun Shines Gray’. I’ve always loved his voice and this song just makes me happy for some reason. Last year the first song off the album titled ‘Traces’ debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200.
Independent Music Promotions sent me over an Artist I haven’t heard before and I have to say, I’m really enjoying his music. This first track titled ‘Bad Dreams’ by CW Allen sounds like you are in a dream and CW is your soundtrack. The track is from the upcoming album titled ‘The Dream Baby 2’ which is coming out on August 2, 2019. CW says
“Bad Dreams was written right after I found out my 19 year old cousin was murdered. I just felt like I was in a bad dream that I couldn’t wake up from. Unfortunately this is very common reality in Chicago and my hometown Cleveland.”
I had the chance to listen to all 5 tracks and they are all worth listening to, several times. Take a listen

The incident happened in a Manhattan garage where the musician returned to pick up the vehicle after nearly two hours, the attendant said he had given it to someone else thinking he was the owner.
Every now and then I like to post information about the business side of music. This is an interesting story by Pollstar on the Concert Industry Stats comparison for the period of 11/23/17 – 5/23/18 versus 11/22/18 – 5/22/19.
“The data shows that the concert industry is relatively stable. Though down single digits in overall gross and ticket sales, the concert business saw an impressive increase in average tour gross. While the Top 100 Worldwide tours declined 3.79% in total gross from $2.14 billion in 2018 to $2.06 billion in 2019 and total ticket sales dropped 6.14% from 22.27 million to 23.73 million, the Top 100 Worldwide Tours average gross per show increased significantly from $836,984 in 2018 to $915,095 – a 9.3% jump. That rise was in part fueled by more tickets per show: 9,901 in 2019 versus 9,282 in 2018 – up 6.67%.”
Ok this is just weird. The Barbie doll is getting a new look. For the 50th Anniversary of “Space Oddity” by David Bowie, Barbie is making a Ziggy Stardust doll. It’s $50 and will be marketed more towards adults. This doll looks nothing like Bowie except for the clothes. Mattel, the Barbie maker, was expecting parents to wonder if the doll is a boy or a girl. Not sure about you but she is VERY much a woman. These people that live under a rock just amazes me.
Dayum this is impressive. The Weeknd’s song ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ have been viewed over 1 Billion times on YouTube. BILLION!
Even more impressive is the fact that this is his third song to pass 1 Billion. ‘Starboy’ was viewed 1.5 Billion and ‘The Hills’ with more than 1.3 Billion views.
