Geez this is some messed up stuff.   Protect Our Children are out in Miami passing out these flyers calling out Pete Townshend for his 2003 arrest on accessing child porn from the web.  They even tried asking the NFL to ban him from playing at the Super Bowl but obviously that didn’t happen.  Check it out.

Alright they finally got it out of them.  Pete Townsend told Billboard:

“We’re kinda doing a mashup of stuff. A bit of Baba O’Riley, a bit of Pinball Wizard, a bit of the close of Tommy, a bit of Who Are You and a bit of Won’t Get Fooled Again. It works — it’s quite a saga.”

I forgot about this but remember back in 2003 when Pete Townsend was arrested for viewing child pornography?  Well The Who are scheduled to play during half time at Super Bowl XLIV on February 7th but AbuseWatch.net wrote a letter to the NFL stating “Inviting Townsend to play is a blatant disregard to the values of American families and a slap in the face to victims of child sexual abuse.”

Ya but Townsend was only doing “research for his autobiography!”
