Richard Ashcroft Solo Album

Richard Ashcroft is releasing his first solo album in four years. Personally I wish he would get back with The Verve, who I absolutely LOVE! Anyway his album is called “United Nations of Sound” and will come out on March 22 through Razor & Tie. He’ll be performing his new single “Are You Ready?” on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon with of course, The Roots as his support band.

The Roots New Album

Finally The Roots are coming out with a new album.  I know they are a bit mainstream now but at least I can say that I have been seeing them live for many years and I still have a soft spot for them.  Well their next album “How I Got Over” was recorded during their days as the house band for “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and will feature John Legend and Jim James from ‘My Morning Jacket’.

I hope they stick to their roots on this one!

John Legend and The Roots!

It looks like John Legends fourth album ‘Wake Up Sessions’ will be produced by none other than The Roots.  Not much more information on this but it’s expected to come out later this year.
