Kim Gordon Partners with Urban Outfitters
Back in September Sonic Youth bassist/singer Kim Gordon launched Mirror/Dash clothing line along with Jeffrey Monteiro and Melinda Wansbrough. She told the New York Times “there’s a need for clothes for cool moms.” Her first was the Hardy Jacket which limited the run to fifty copies and sells at a whopping $415. Now that’s the way to target the recession.

The entire clothing line will be available exclusively at Urban Outfitters. She also said “We’re actually trying to do something a little less trend oriented, a
little more classic, that might appeal to someone say who used to shop
at Urban [Outfitters] but wants something slightly less young looking.
And we would like to appeal also to the usual Urban customer as well.”
