Morrissey Is Done With New Album
BBC is reporting that Morrissey is done with his new album but the reason it’s not out is because the lack of a record label to put it out. He said on his site:
“The follow-up to Years of Refusal is ready and fluttering wildly against the bars. There is still no record label and the years shuffle like cards. My talents do not lie in DIY.”
Morrissey Re-Releases “Everyday Is Like Sunday”
I’m a huge Morrissey fan. Well actually more The Smiths but his first couple solo albums were great. Well on September 26 he is re-releasing his 1988 single ‘Everyday Is Like Sunday’ and it’s coming in 3 different versions along with rare photos. Here’s how they are coming and what’s on them.
“Everyday Is Like Sunday” (CD):

02 November the Second
03 Everyday Is Like Sunday (Original Promo Video)
04 Everyday Is Like Sunday (“Top of the Pops”, June 9, 1988) (previously unreleased)
“Everyday Is Like Sunday” 7″ (Version 1):

Morrissey’s 7″ Singles Box Sets – UPDATE
I posted too soon about his singles box set. It turns out that Morrissey does NOT want us to purchase them. He isn’t getting a dime from the release of his own music. This really sucks and is one of the many reasons why people hate record companies.
“Morrissey receives no royalty payments from EMI for any back catalogue, and has not received a royalty from EMI since 1992. Morrissey also does not approve of, and was not consulted on, the Rhino box of Smiths CDs, or the Warner releases of Smiths LPs on 180 gramme vinyl.”
That just sucks.
