Ian Says No New Cult Album
Ian Astbury of The Cult says that there won’t be any new Cult album coming out. They’ve been on tour playing their LOVE album in its entirety but he had this to say:
“I fucking hate nostalgia. It fucking makes me sick.” “[The album is] a dead format; we don’t have the attention span for albums. The idea of going into a studio and spending a year-and-a-half creating a body of work which you put out as a body of work is pointless.”
I totally missed their show when they were here a couple weeks ago. After these comments, I should of just went. Who knows if they will be around anymore.
