Garbage – New Video – No Horses

Garbage has a new video for their new single called ‘No Horses.’  It’s pretty political and here’s what the director of the video, Scott Stuckey, says

“It’s been my observation that when governments disregard their citizens for their own greed, the ensuing soundtrack usually kick’s ass. Like Nina Simone’s ‘Mississippi Goddam’ or the Clash’s ‘Straight To Hell’, ‘No Horses’ made me realize that I’m not going insane, these really are fucked up times. The lyrics are powerful so the challenge was to add something visually that wouldn’t ruin the individual’s interpretation.”

Jaden Smith New Song

I want to like him but it just seems like he tries so hard. But….his new song ‘Watch Me’ is kinda cool. Don’t know if I would buy it but I’d listen to it. Somethings weird about him using the N word.

He announced that he will be one of the support acts for Fall Out Boy’s fall tour.

Hanson….Yes Hanson!

I wouldn’t normally post anything about Hanson but I have to give them credit for being so young when they started and continuing to make music into their late 20’s. Apparently they still have a huge fan base. Well they are putting out their Sixth studio album titled “Anthem” on June 18th. A funny side note, they are celebrating their 21st anniversary as a band by releasing an IPA call MmmHops!

The song isn’t all bad. Check it out.

LL Cool J and Eddie Van Halen

Very interesting.  Eddie Van Halen recently announced that he had collaborated with LL Cool J on two tracks on LL’s new album (LL still does music?).  Here are some comments from both of them.

LL explained “This album was born out of my true love for music and I knew Eddie shared that same vision for authentic music. I approached this song with the upmost respect for Eddie and his fans, and became friends with him through the process. I was humbled to watch a genius at work and collaborate with such a legendary and visionary artist as Eddie Van Halen, and to bring our two worlds together, was an exciting opportunity. I am thrilled he was up for the ride.”

Eddie told Guitar World “The thought of me playing guitar to hip hop was definitely left of center, but I was intrigued and I agreed to meet and listen to what he had. I was not only inspired by the songs I heard, but LL’s enthusiasm, his down-to-earth personality, the freedom he gave me to co-create and his willingness to, for the very first time, sing the chorus on ‘We’re the Greatest.’ It was like a breath of fresh air that I needed as an artist and an individual.”

New Alice In Chains Video

Here is the first video from their new album titled ‘Hallow’. The new album is supposed to be coming out in the spring. Jerry Cantrell said “In my opinion, that record stood up to anything else we’ve put out in our career.”

Those are pretty bold words! Enjoy the video.

Just saw this over at Fuse. Here’s Alex Chadwick of Chicago Music Exchange giving you 60 years of Rock N’ Roll in 100 guitar riffs. Pretty damn cool.

Katrin the thrill….

It’s a rare time for me these days to instantly fall in love with a newer band. I just had the chance to hear ‘Katrin the thrill’ and fell in love. There is a certain darkness that I love about their track ‘Earth is Calling Us’ that I haven’t found in a long time. The softness, the grinding of it; just awesome. Thanks to James at for sharing with me.

Have a listen for yourself.
