Last Saturday night Al Jourgensen of Ministry collapsed onstage during a concert in Paris.  He was sent to the hospital where he was diagnosed with “full-system collapse due to extreme dehydration and heat exhaustion intensified by the lack of ventilation on stage at the venue.”

He’s cancelled a few shows but promised “I will make it up to you, somehow. I love Paris, I love the Parisian people. I’m so sorry …but, shit happens and the shit hit the fan for me last night.”

He did consider retiring from Ministry for health reasons and has said “For the last four tours, I’ve been puking up blood.  When I’m at home, I don’t drink or anything like that. But when you’re on tour, everything’s crazy. I never said anything about it because I just thought that was part of getting old and going on a rock tour – you puke up blood!”

I just heard Public Enemys new album ‘Most of My Heroes Don’t Appear On No Stamp’ and damn it’s nice. I went through SellABand and gave some money to fund their album and it finally came out. You can see it here   Public Enemy – SellABand

Both Ice-T and Melle Mel was at the European premier of Ice-T’s directorial debut for ‘Something From Nothing: The Art Of Rap’ and they had shit to say.

Ice-T said he was unimpressed with today’s hip hop artists saying “It’s just pop. You’re not going to get anything as raw as what we heard before.”

Grandmaster Flash and Melle Mel went on to say “The younger guys don’t look as good as us! They definitely don’t have our skills and that’s what the art of rap is.”

It’s been 4 years since the Spice Girls have performed together (should be longer) but it looks like they are back, to perform at the London 2012 Olympic closing ceremony. Looks like they’ll be singing two songs with one of them being “Wannabe”.

This is just nuts. Over in Leipzig, Germany where the ‘With Full Force’ festival was happening, a lightning bolt crashed down and injured 51 people enjoying the music. The festival had Machine Head, Soulfly, Children of Bodom, Flogging Molly, and other bands. The same storm moved on in Germany and killed three women, seriously injured another and another died in her car when it was crushed by a tree.

So rumors are percolating around that Van Halen will play during half time at Superbowl 47!   Eddie said

“a lot of the canceled dates were in cities we already played. So in November we’ll hit Japan, and in the new year we’ll possibly do something special, but I can’t talk about it.”

Then NBC Sports made some vague comments about it as well.

In Downsview Park, Toronto, the crew of Radiohead were setting up the stage when the stage collapsed.

One person with a head wound, two others had minor injuries but the worst is Scott Johnson, their drum tech, died when the stage collapsed on top of him.

I guess that headline can go either way but this it’s actually the funnier way. Megadeth took the stage last night at the 2012 Croatia Metalfest and were not only booed by fans but had beer thrown at them. Apparently W.A.S.P. was supposed to play but claimed that because of Megadeth, they canceled their set. I don’t know why that is but the audience was PISSED. After security stopped the beer bashing, someone was able to throw a rock that hit Dave Mustaine right in the head. Hahahahaha. I’m so glad. Dave is such a douchebag. He’s against gay marriage, claims Obama wasn’t born in the US and has told starving African women to “put a plug in it”. What a dick.

Wow this really bummed me out. After overcoming breast cancer a few years ago, she finds out she has a brain tumor. Luckily she doesn’t expect any complications from the tumor since it’s benign. Phew!

Well apparently this isn’t the first time he’s been in the band but former Bowie/Tin Machine guitarist Reeves Gabrels joined The Cure again for their summer festival tour in Europe.  Gabrels worked with The Cure on a couple tracks from their Galore album.

Yep, Lita Ford is interested in getting the band back together again. She’s interested in getting The Runaways back together with Joan and Cherie. She’s about to release her new solo album titled ‘Living Like a Runaway’.

She said in a statement:

“I would if it was the Runaways. There’s all kinds of lineups you can have and all kinds of wonderful musicians. Unfortunately Sandy’s not around anymore, the drummer, and she was such a huge part of the band. I don’t know if Joan Jett would do the band without Sandy. I would, I love Sandy and nobody will ever take her place, but there’s still me and Joan and Cherie. The Runaways had a couple of bass players and they were both great. I would love to do the Runaways again, maybe next year, 2013 would be a good time.”

WTF is wrong with this loser Suge Knight. He’ll say anything to try and be relevant. Suge has been going around saying that Tupac ended his professional relationship with a certain rapper because he thought the rapper was gay. Now Tupac’s family is saying its totally false since Tupac was close friends with designer Gianni Versace, who was an openly gay guy.

This story just sucks all the way around. Fk off Suge Knight. Someone needs to knock this fool out again.

So I did some research on this because I wasn’t following Ted Nugent and his comments. I knew he was pretty hardcore with the NRA, hunting etc. That’s cool.

At one of his concerts, he held up an AK-47 and said “Hey, suck on this, Obama.”

Well he had to meet with the Secret Service over this past weekend to clear some of the issues. Apparently both sides left pretty happy.

“Good, solid, professional meeting concluding that I have never made any threats of violence towards anyone. The meeting could not have gone better.”
