Kurt Cobains Expensive Sweater

For Kurt Cobains last photo shoot with Nirvana, he wore a black sweater that recently went to an auction. It was the summer of 1993 and can be seen in the photobook ‘Kurt Cobain: The Last Session.’ Some lucky person paid $75,000 to obtain this sweater. It was estimated to sell at $10,000 to $20,000 but jumped all the way to $75,000.

The last auction item of Kurts sold back in 2015. It was his green cardigan from Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged performance and it sold for $137,000!

Metallica SF Giants Inspired Gear

OK, I’m a huge SF Giants fan and of course love Metallica.  Never thought there would be a combination of the two but it looks like its coming.  Earlier this month they were at The Fillmore in San Francisco for their 30th anniversary tour for fan club members only and their was some new clothing for sale.  They aren’t for sale yet at their site yet but it’s coming.   Pretty sick!

Winehouse Dress Sells At Auction

On the cover of the great ‘Back to Black’ album from Amy Winehouse, she wore a white with red polka dot dress with an ugly red belt. Well it went up for auction yesterday in London along with other items from Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn.

Believe it or not, that dress sold for……$67,000. WOW pretty crazy. Some people have money to burn. Check it out below

Jay-Z Yankees Clothing Line

Damn just when you think he’s done it all, he comes up again. He started a new line of clothing for the New York Yankees with hoodies, hats and t-shirts that will go on sale today. The line will be for both women and men and will have the logo from Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3. He created the line to commemorate the first official stadium concerts on September 13th and 14th when he and Eminem will co-headline a concert there.

Morrissey & McCartney

No not Paul but his daughter Stella will be working with Morrissey on a line of leather free shoes that will come out next year.  It’s still in the early stages but I’m sure fans of Morrissey will buy them no matter how ugly they are.  Ok I guess they could be nice.

Jackson’ Moonwalk Glove Sells Big

For some reason I thought this piece was already sold but I guess not.  Michael Jacksons rhinestone encrusted glove that he wore on the infamous Motown 25th Anniversary Special TV show back in 1983 when he first showed everyone the Moonwalk sold for $350,000.  It went to Hoffman Ma, a Hong Kong business man for his hotel in Macau China.

The Fat Boys Clothing Line

Aww you have to remember The Fat Boys.  I still have The Fat Boys Are Back! on tape somewhere.  Well they now have their own clothing line and they will be distributed through Urban Outfitters and Hot Topic and at Rate My Merch. Kool Rock-Ski said “These shirts are tight! And I don’t mean tight ’cause we fat, this joint is off the hook. We got the original shirts from our world tours in the ’80s and some fresh new styles. We got so many styles we need help picking which ones to go with.”

Here’s something for ya to remember.

Wyclef and Timberland

No, not TimBAland the producer, the clothing company.  He’s going to create “eco-conscious” boots titled ‘Yele Haiti’ for men, women and children.  For each pair sold, Timberland will donate $2 to the Yele Haiti foundation to support reforestation in Haiti.  Thats Sweet.

Metallica’s Overpriced Jacket

I don’t even like commenting on this but Metallica has launched a “limited edition iPod interactive jacket.” Um . . .yaaa.  Metallica teamed up with Sessions on this jacket that has a built-in pair of speakers, an amplifier and illuminated control pad on the outer sleeve.  Your iPod or iPhone plugs in and is safely tucked away in a waterproof compartment.  Oh and the jacket also has Metallica graphics including the Death Magnetic photo inside the liner and the M4 logo.  And if that wasn’t enough you can put the hood up for added bass.  The jacket is limited to 800 and will be coming out this Autumn.  You can make reservations at Metallicas MetStore until June 8th but you have to give them 50% of the whopping $330 price tag.   I don’t know about you but the metal heads I know wouldn’t even have $3.30 to spend on this.
