Coming up on November 19, Alice Cooper will be releasing their Old School Box Set. This covers the era of 1964 to 1974 and has a bunch of bootlegs, rarities and demos. It comes in a school desk design with four CD’s and a 60-page school yearbook. Photo of it below along with the track listing.

Well I don’t know if you can call it a box set but The Black Keys best selling album ‘Brothers’ that was released in May of this year is being re-released as a box set. It’s going to come out on the Record Stores Black Friday on November 26. It will be a limited edition numbered package with a CD, double 45rpm vinyl and a 10″ record with previously unreleased live songs and a limited edition poster.

You know Danny Elfman, the singer from Oingo Boing who went on to write music for film and tv shows, most known for the them song to The Simpsons. Well this box set is 13 original scores he did for a bunch of Tim Burton films. It will have about 19 hours of his music with demos, cut songs and others. There will also be a 250 page linen-wrapped book with rare photos and interviews with the cast and crew of the Burton films. All that AND a DVD with conversations between Burton and Elfman on the more than 25 years they have worked together. That should be cool.

If you’re a Ronnie James Dio fan then you can’t wait until November. Niji Entertainment Group is the label formed by the late Dio and his wife/manager Wendy Dio and they will be releasing 3 different Dio pieces. First on November 9th it will be ‘Dio At Donington UK: Live 1983 & 1987’.

You will also be able to get the new CD from David “Rock” Feinstein called ‘Bitten By The Beast” which will have a song called ‘Metal Will Never Die’ with lead vocals from Dio. November 23rd will be a limited edition Picture Disc on vinyl of ‘Holy Diver’.

The label is also working on a CD Box and reissues on 180 gram colored vinyl.

Wow, another amazing artist, this time spanning over 50 years.  ‘Kenny Rogers:  The First 50 Years’ is a 45 song collection of all his original hits with 3 new songs, with one of them being with none other than Dolly Parton.  The boxset comes with a booklet with photos from Kenny’s personal collection.

Oh boy here comes some more Bee Gees.  The regular version of ‘The Ultimate Bee Gees’ double cd set will have all of their huge hit singles and the deluxe version with have a DVD with unreleased videos, live performances, tv appearances and promo videos.  Sounds good if you’re really into these guys.  But seriously these guys are no joke.  22 studio albums from 1965 to 2001, 2 live albums, 2 soundtracks, tons of songs they wrote for other artists, over 17 awards and over 205 million records and singles worldwide.  Phew!

On November 3rd a five disc boxed set is coming out showcasing  Frank Sinatra’s live performances throughout New York.  Titled “Sinatra: New York”, there will be 55 songs over 4 CD’s and 16 songs on the DVD that spans from 1955 to 1990.  I really didn’t start appreciating ol’ Frank until a few years ago.  Man, that guy was in a league of his own.

Ya, I thought that would get your attention.  It sure got mine.   After their October 20th release of their new album LIEBE IST FÜR ALLE DA they will be releasing a box set that will include the new album and …. six sex toys which corresponds to the six band members, along with handcuffs and lubricant.  Nice.  Why weren’t condoms included?  How you get it and pricing is coming later on.

Elvis’ box set is coming out on December 8th.  Put out by Legacy Records, it will be a 100 song box set titled “Elvis 75:  Good Rockin’ Tonight” which will celebrate his 75th birthday.  It will also contain an 80-page bookelet with rare photos and an essay by journalist Billy Altman.

On November 10 for their debut album, Bad Lieutenant (Bernard Sumner of Joy Division/New Order) is putting out a limited edition box set titled ‘Nevery Cry Another Tear’.  It will include the CD, a 7″ vinyl with the tracks ‘Sink or Swim’ and ‘Dynamo’, a 180g vinyl of the album, an artwork print, a deluxe 12′ booklet and a Bad Lieutenant t-shirt.  Phew I got tired writing all that.  Well if you want it, head on over to Bad Lieutenant

Creedence Clearwater Revival and Fantasy Records are releasing ‘The Singles Collection’ which will have 2 CD’s and one DVD box containting all of their U.S. singles totaling 30 songs.  The songs on the CD are in their original single mixes, with some even in mono and the DVD will have some amazing old videos for songs like ‘I Put a Spell on You’ and ‘Lookin’ Out My Back Door’.

There will also be a limited edition collectors’ version with actual vinyl 45 rpm singles.  DAAAAMMM.

Queen is releasing ‘Absolute Greatest’ on November 16 and will be available in multiple formats.  Either a 20 track CD, a double CD with bonus disc of Brian May and Roger Taylor discussing the tracks, or with both the above CD’s, 52-page book, unseen photos and access to streaming live performances or and LP box set with three 180g vinyl records, softback photo book and access to the streadming live performances.  Damn they are going all out.

Beautiful new deluxe box set from Depeche Mode came out a couple days ago.  The set has 3 CD’s, a DVD plus two 84 page books with lyrics and exclusive photography.  It also has two exclusive enamel badges, poster and five artcards.  The first CD is the Sounds Of The Universe album. Disc two has studio tracks and remixes not available on the album.  Disc three are demos from a few of their older albums.  The DVD has behind the scenes footage on making the album and varioius video clips.  I can’t wait to get this.  If you are a Depeche Mode fan then you can’t go without this.  Buy it here Depeche Mode Sounds of the Universe Deluxe Box Set
