The Stranglers originial guitarist/vocalist Hugh Cornwell has a new album out titled ‘Hooverdam’ and it will be available for free download. Just hop on over to www.HughCornwell.com to pick up the digital version. There will also be vinyl and a triple-sleeved digi-pak CD/DVD available.
David Gray is finally coming out with another album on September 22nd titled ‘Draw the Line’ which is his first since 2005′s ‘Life in Slow Motion.’ Hey may not be my typical style of music but I have to say I have his 1999 album ‘White Ladder’ and I just really liked it. As far as I know, Annie Lennox is a guest on one of the tracks. I think I’ll be getting this album.
Here’s more ammo for Eminem haters. A 29 year old guy recited Eminem lyrics as he killed his wife and daughter and almost killing his 4 year old son. This is just so sad. Michael Miller killed his wife and 10 year old daughter but his 4 year old son survived even though he had been stabbed eleven times by his dad. He called 911 and said “I just killed my family with a knife. All of them. All three of them.”
He also told 911 that he was reciting Em’s lyrics of “Here comes Satan, I’m the anti-Christ, I’m going to kill you.”
The Black Crowes have recorded 2 albums in just a whopping 5 nights. Raphael Saadiq is releasing his first ever DVD on July 21 titled “Raphael Saadiq: Live From the Artists Den.” The show was taken from his performance last December 3rd at the Harvard Club of Boston and portions of the show aired on the PBS series “Live at the Artists Den.” You can get the DVD as part of the pledge drive promotion at PublicTelevisionRocks for 30 days before it hits the streets.
R Kelly’s new album is finally coming out in September. This time, the album will be titled ‘Untitled.’ He says “I want whoever listens to the record to call it what they want, name it themselves based on what they feel listening to the music.”

John Mellencamp just put out a live collection CD featuring many of the songs off his 2008 album ‘Life Death Love And Freedom.’ And whats even sweeter is that you can get the CD for $7.98 or $5.99 in digital format.
