For the very first time, Slash has a #1 hit with the “You’re A Lie” song off his new album that came out on May 22 called ‘Apocalyptic Love.’ I’m really happy for him. He’s such a cool dude.

On top of this, he’s getting a star on the Hollywood Blvd. Walk of Fame! Plus he’s going out on tour beginning July 12 in Portland Oregon. Here’s the rest of the dates and the video for his #1.

So rumors are percolating around that Van Halen will play during half time at Superbowl 47!   Eddie said

“a lot of the canceled dates were in cities we already played. So in November we’ll hit Japan, and in the new year we’ll possibly do something special, but I can’t talk about it.”

Then NBC Sports made some vague comments about it as well.

We’ll see if that happens.  Superbowl 47 airs on February 3, 2013

In Downsview Park, Toronto, the crew of Radiohead were setting up the stage when the stage collapsed.

One person with a head wound, two others had minor injuries but the worst is Scott Johnson, their drum tech, died when the stage collapsed on top of him.

I guess that headline can go either way but this it’s actually the funnier way. Megadeth took the stage last night at the 2012 Croatia Metalfest and were not only booed by fans but had beer thrown at them. Apparently W.A.S.P. was supposed to play but claimed that because of Megadeth, they canceled their set. I don’t know why that is but the audience was PISSED. After security stopped the beer bashing, someone was able to throw a rock that hit Dave Mustaine right in the head. Hahahahaha. I’m so glad. Dave is such a douchebag. He’s against gay marriage, claims Obama wasn’t born in the US and has told starving African women to “put a plug in it”. What a dick.

Coming out on June 26 is a new biography on Iron Maiden titled ‘Iron Maiden: The Ultimate Unauthorized History of the Beast’. It’s written by Neil Daniels who’s already written some good biographies on Judas Priest, Linkin Park and Bon Jovi. The hardcover book will have over 200 pages with over 400 photos and cover every era of the band beginning in 1975 when the band was formed.

Wow this really bummed me out. After overcoming breast cancer a few years ago, she finds out she has a brain tumor. Luckily she doesn’t expect any complications from the tumor since it’s benign. Phew!
