Diana Ross is coming back to San Francisco! She hasn’t been in San Francisco since 1969 when she was here with the Supremes. On September 16 she will be at the Golden Gate Theatre which will be a full theatrical experience with costumes, amazing stage design with a live string and horn section. I can’t imagine how much the tickets will go for but if you love crazy Diana, this one you can’t miss.Di

The first US number one for Motown was ‘Please Mr. Postman’ by The Marvelettes released in 1961. A couple of years later they had another number one by Stevie Wonder called ‘Fingertips’

Written by Eric Clapton (help from Will Jennings), he wrote the song after his four-year old fell out of a 53rd floor window of a New York apartment building. It came out in January 1992 for the soundtrack of ‘Rush’. Apparently Clapton stopped playing it in 2004 saying he didn’t feel the loss anymore which was so much a part of that song.
Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven
Will it be the same
If I saw you in heaven
I must be strong, and carry on
Cause I know I don’t belong
Here in heaven
Would you hold my hand
If I saw you in heaven
Would you help me stand
If I saw you in heaven
I’ll find my way, through night and day
Cause I know I just can’t stay
Here in heaven
Time can bring you down
Time can bend your knee
Time can break your heart
Have you begging please
Begging please
(instrumental)
Beyond the door
There’s peace I’m sure.
And I know there’ll be no more…
Tears in heaven
Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven
Will it be the same
If I saw you in heaven
I must be strong, and carry on
Cause I know I don’t belong
Here in heaven
Cause I know I don’t belong
Here in heaven
