Director Cameron Crowe said his documentary on Pearl Jam will debut in September.  Pearl Jam gave him 18-20 hours of footage to go with the other stuff Crowe shot in 2009 and 2010.  That should be a great one.

Beastie Boys new album “Hot Sauce Committee Part Two wasn’t supposed to come out for another week but since the ‘clean’ version of the album leaked they decided to stream the explicit album on their site Beastie Boys.com.  Here’s what they had to say:

Good people, unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, the “clean” version of our new album, The Hot Sauce Committee pt 2 has leaked. Even though I think Billy Corgan is a big douche, I thought I should still post the recent news.  Smashing Pumpkins are reissuing their early albums over a three year period.  This fall they will release 1993′s “Siamese Dream” and “Gish” then next year it will be the double album “Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness”, “The Aeroplane Flies High” then “Adore”.  In 2013 it will be “Machina/The Machines of God” and “Machina II: The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music.  Corgan said about the deal:

“What makes the deal with EMI groundbreaking is the band has secured the right to all unreleased materials and will be in charge of any additional releases based on our discretion.  In essence, the band has the keys to the warehouse and can release whatever we want, when we want it.”

Beats By Dre, Jimmy Lovine and Dr. Dre, are partnering up with Chrysler for their 2012 Chrysler 300S.  They will help Chrysler’s engineer design to tune the 10-speaker sound system which will be the first model to have the new system.

Bob Marley’s Redemption Song is the final song on his album ‘Uprising’ in 1979. The lyrics are derived from a speech given by Jamaican publisher, journalist, entrepreneur and orator Marcus Garvey. Rita Marley has said about this song “he was already secretly in a lot of pain and dealt with his own mortality, a feature that is clearly apparent in the album, particularly in this song”.

Prince is continuing his residency type tour with a 21 date tour in Los Angeles which begins on April 14th at the Forum. Not all the dates will be at the Forum but the details of the other places will be announced soon. Prince said “I will be starting a 21-night stand…with the New Power Generation and a whole gang of special guests. I’m gonna blast the roof off that place, I promise!”

Prince just continues his legacy.

I never understand how people with shit loads of money run into IRS problems. I know they say it’s their money managers or someone’s fault other than their own. Well Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne owe the IRS $718,948 from 2008 and $1.024 million from 2009 and the IRS has put a lien on their LA home. Sharon wrote on her Twitter page “You can’t rely on anyone but yourself. You have to be on top of your own business affairs. My fault…lesson learned.”
