Finally they have announced roughly when their next album will be out.  Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 is finally coming out next spring.  I’m a little confused on what they are doing here.  Part 2 will have the same 16 tracks that was to be on Part 1 and the tracks for Part 2 are back on Part 1.  I don’t get it.

“I know it’s weird and confusing, but at least we can say unequivocally that Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 is coming out on time, which is more than I can say about Part 1, and really is all that matters in the end. We just kept working and working on various sequences for part 2, and after a year and half of spending days on end in the sequencing room trying out every possible combination, it finally became clear that this was the only way to make it work. Strange but true, the final sequence for Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 works best with all its songs replaced by the 16 tracks we originally had lined up in pretty much the same order we had them in for Hot Sauce Committee Part 1. So we’ve come full circle.”

The infamous Chelsea Hotel in New York is up for sale. Yes the hotel where Sid Vicious killed his girlfriend Nancy and also where Bob Dylan wrote ‘Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands’. Not only that but many musicians have hung out here such as Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix. There isn’t an asking price but I’m sure it’s going to be expensive.

What an idiot T.I. is. Last month he was arrested on drug charges and had to go back to prison for 11 months and now AXE body spray has gotten rid of him. The company said in a statement

“We will no longer feature T.I. in our promotional campaign”

All of T.I.’s photos have also been removed from the AXE site. Dummy.

Damn, the second ever White Stripes 7″ vinyl single “Lafayette Blues” sold in the U.K. for $18,000. It was one of 15 copies that Jack White hand painted back in 1998. Someone has too much money.

On January 11, 2011 INXS will put out a new album called “Original Sin”. It’s the first album back with original manager CM Murphy in over a decade and it’s coming out on INXS’s original label Atco Records.

After 23 years The Cars are getting back together to put out a new album. Billboard says they recorded new material over the summer and there is possibly a reunion tour coming as well. The members of the band are Ric Ocasek, Elliot Easton, Greg Hawkes and David Robinson.

Prince played 27 different instruments on his debut album “For You”.

I’ll know him more by Johnny Rotten but he has a scrapbook that came out last week. It’s a pretty big book at 14″ x 14″ and has over 250 pages of personal images and hand written quotes. The book is limited to 750 numbered books and will come with a 12″ picture vinyl that is hand built into the back cover of each book. You can get it here if you have the money. It’s not cheap.

On August 2nd the FBI raided Young Buck’s home in Tennessee and seized it so the IRS can be paid back the $164,000 in income taxes. On October 27 the IRS will be having an open house to auction off his stuff. This is just sad. If you want to get in on the action, head over to 5373 Mt. View Road in Antioch, TN on October 27 to check it out then come back the next day and begin the auction.

Some of the stuff: several gold and platinum records for his own work and collaborations with rapper 50 Cent, several pieces of fine art, multiple LCD and plasma televisions, designer watches and an assortment of faux-fur coats. For the more discriminating decorators, you can pick up pictures of Al Pacino and rapper Tupac, a “marijuana leaf picture”, three Royal Copenhagen white bear figurines and a 3-foot white and silver Santa Claus decoration.

Bertis Downs, R.E.M.’s manager, has mentioned that R.E.M. will be releasing their 15th studio album called ‘Collapse Into Now’ sometime in the spring. Garret “Jacknife” Lee is producing the album.

Should I be happy? Should you be happy? I think so even though Boy George has been a mess over these past years. But Boy George announced on his site that he was getting the band back together in 2012 to celebrate their 30th anniversary.

“We’re definitely doing it, in 2012. Our D-Day is April 30, which is the same day as our first-ever single release, “White Boy”… it’s going to be great fun. If we don’t do it now we’ll do it when we’re 60, which will be really tragic.”

Chad Smith says “I can’t be in three places at once!” With him in Chickenfoot, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bombastic Meatbats, he’s unsure how he will be able to handle all 3 bands. The Chickenfoot album will begin recording in January 2011, he’s not done with the Chili Peppers album yet and they have a bunch of festival dates in the summer of 2011. On top of that he says he won’t be able to tour with Chickenfoot after the album is done. Well I didn’t even hear anything about what he’s doing with Bombastic Meatbats. It’s kind of a good thing actually to have so much work.
