The other day at the AC/DC concert in Winnipeg, a 29 year old woman had to be taken out of the concert for “disruptive behaviour.” While she was being taken out, she assaulted one of the police officers! Don’t tell me alcohol was involved. Well of course there was. Damn Problem Child!
Finally The Cranberries are getting back together after 7 years of being apart. Dolores O’Riordan, one of the original members, said “I’ve decided to reunite with my former band members in The Cranberries and we will be writing new songs and performing tracks off my new album as well as our greatest hits during the shows. I’d love to see you out there.”
I forget that they had four top 20 Billboard albums, 8 hit singles and sales of over 40 million albums.
How is this guy still making music? He’s got another album coming out in 2010 which is apparently “50 percent” finished. Rob Cavallo is producing the album (Kid Rock, Green Day) and Queen’s Brian May contributed to one of the songs.
Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society) had to be taken to the E.R. following BLS’s concert in Montana on August 19th to treat what they believe is a blood clot. He then had to go back today for the same thing. Damn, those can be deadly. Here’s a pic of him from a couple days ago in the hospital.

VH1′s show ‘Behind The Music’ is making a comeback but this time it won’t all be about Rock N’ Roll. They’re shifting their series towards other kinds of music with guests like Bobby Brown, Pink, T.I., 50 Cent and others. It’s starting on September 10th with Lil’ Wayne and will be airing on Thursdays at 10pm.
Another DVD is coming out for Leonard Cohen. This was goes back to August 31, 1970 when he performed at The Isle of Wight. The CD/DVD is coming out in October and contains a new film documentary from Academy Award winning filmmaker Murray Lerner and will have interviews from some of the performers like Joan Baez, Kris Kristofferson and others.
Last Tuesday at Pearl Jams concert at Lonons O2 Arena, Eddie Vedder decided to be a little bitch once more. First they start their show 15 minutes late and played up to the O2′s curfew of 11:00pm, then when they were supposed to get off the stage, Vedder had another one of his moments and decided to stay on for another 20 minutes. The Arena had to turn on the houselights but Vedder and his bandmates decided to sit down in the middle of the stage and sang another song. I used to like PJ for their first 3 albums but Vedder just annoys me now.
Just a few days ago, the largest photo of Ozzy was unveiled. Ya how exciting huh. It was hung on one of the largest billboards in Los Angeles, over 12 stories, 6,500 fee tall on the infamous Sunset Strip. Then on September 10th, Ozzy will be honored at the three-day music festival ‘Sunset Strip Music Festival’ that will honor icons that have made the Sunset Strip such a legacy. Black Sabbath had a five night stand back in 1970 at the Whisky A Go-Go.

Nick Cave is releasing a novel on September 1st titled ‘The Death of Bunny Munro’. The story is about Bunny Munro who is a travelling salesman who goes on a road trip with his son. Now, I didn’t know this but he has 4 books already out. It should be dark and interesting just like him.
Swollen Members will be releasing a new album on October 13th titled ‘Armed to The Teeth’ and last week they shot an X-Rated video for their first single ‘Pornstar’. If you haven’t heard much from these guys here is something to sink your teeth into. It’s ‘Breathe’ featuring Nelly Furtado from their ‘Monsters In The Closet’ album back in 2002.
August 25 Queen Latifah will be releasing her new album titled ‘Persona’ and is produced by Cool and Dre and a song produced by Pharrell Williams (does he even need to work anymore). I guess it will be in between Hip Hop and Pop, or better described as Hip Pop. Want more? Check it
